Ninja Cradle Walkthrough

In the late 1980s and early 1990s, spinoffs of classic cartoons featuring baby or child versions of the original characters were quite popular. A Pup Named Scooby Doo, Muppet Babies, and Tom and Jerry Kids are perfect examples of this trend. This trend is revisited in Ninja Cradle, a puzzle game starring baby ninjas.

The objective of Ninja Cradle is to pass through the portal (or torii for any Japanophiles playing the game). You are given unlimited jumps to reach the exit, but you will be able to earn gold, silver, or bronze leaves for completing levels in under the number of clicks designated for each. As you strive to reach your goal, you will have to avoid jumping into traps, getting hit by enemies, or falling into the abyss; meeting your demise will force you to restart the current level. Your progress is automatically saved after beating each level, so you will be able to continue your game from the last level that you unlocked the next time that you play this ninja game.

Ninja Cradle is controlled entirely by the mouse. Move your mouse to aim and click the left mouse button to jump. You can click while in midair to double-jump. Move your mouse to the edges of the screen to scroll the camera. This control setup is easy to learn, so gamers of all skill levels should be able to grasp it quickly. The only problem with this setup in my opinion is that scrolling does not always work properly. Having the option to use the arrow keys or WASD keys to scroll the screen would have mitigated this issue.

Your movement may be "turn-based" in a way, but enemies act in real-time. This will force you to make moves quickly to avoid getting hit on levels containing enemies. Think and move quickly but carefully to avoid jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire, so to speak. If you do meet your demise, learn from your mistakes to get it right the next time that you play the level.

Ninja Cradle is a puzzle game that is easy to control but difficult to master, a perfect combination in this genre of Flash games. If you want to maximize the challenge of this ninja game, try to earn a gold leaf on every level!
